Bundaberg RumInvasion Declaration

For the first time in history, the 2015 NRL grand final saw a face-off between two Queensland teams. To make matters worse, the match was being played in Sydney. As the official drink of Queensland, Bundaberg Rum was well-poised to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime event, with a print and social campaign that prepared the citizens of Sydney for a new world order.

This proactive campaign ran in the sports sections of major newspapers across both states, was distributed in postcards on every inbound flight to Sydney and was a huge hit on Facebook. It became Bundaberg’s most talked-about work of the year, created, produced and dispatched in under 72 hours.
