Jonno is a copywriter, currently at M&C Saatchi Sydney via Leo Burnett.
He specialises in social, digital and media-driven ideas. Given that we are in the year 2016, he likes to simply call these 'ideas.' Meanwhile, he enjoys being treated like a rare tropical bird that reads both novels and Facebook feeds in an average day.
Prior to working in advertising, Jonno spent eight years as a features and entertainment journalist. His expertise in music, youth lifestyle and consumer psychology led him to senior writing or editing roles at Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, Bauer, Pedestrian, VICE and Rolling Stone.
Jonno writes compulsively, both for himself and as a freelancer. He runs a music site with his younger brother which has been profiling new music for almost a decade, while his weekly newsletter sends a curated digest of what's hot to tastemakers across Australia.
Jonno has lent his (loud) voice to both Monocle 24 and ABC Radio National, and was a finalist in the Channel V presenter search.
This is the longest Jonno has ever written exclusively in the third person.
